ServerMojo monitors provide scanning at a range of intervals to suit your requirements, from 1 minute and up. Something to consider when deciding what frequency to set your scan interval is the effect it will have on your server uptime. If you specify a high freqency scan such as 1 minute then there can be more status changes detected and corresponding alerts sent, however each downtime will be of a shorter duration and more accurate representation of the server's status. 1 minute interval keeps you informed of your server downtime sooner, which is a good thing if you want to know about it asap. On the other hand if you choose a lower frequency scan such as 60 minutes then there will be less possible status changes detected while at the same time when a server is detected as being down it can be a long time before the next scan finds it up again which will show on your overall server uptime stats. In general a more frequent scan results in more accurate server uptime stats and less red on your charts and of course it is important to know as soon as possible if your server is not responding correctly so you can take appropriate action to remedy the situation.
An important note: While 1 minute interval is regularly available for Small Biz and Big Biz accounts only, Free accounts can actually use the 1 minute interval IF the monitor is set to alert you with SMS and your account does have SMS credits remaining.
