The 'ping with traceroute' monitor first pings a server just as the regular ping test but with the addition of a traceroute which is performed whenever server status changes to offline. The results of this trace are then available for you to view online in your ServerMojo account. This can help you track down the source of uptime issues by showing you what part of the route between ServerMojo test machines and your server is rejecting requests, whether it be your server or a router somewhere between which could be a fault at your ISP or elsewhere.
