While the default port for web/HTTP servers is port 80, it is nevertheless quite common to run a web server on another port. While port 81 or 8080 are perhaps the most often seen web server ports after 80, it could in fact be any other unused port and many non-web servers do in fact have web based admin panels which run on a non-standard port. This test allows you to monitor HTTP on any such port as required.
